MailAssured has been created in response to the perennial problem of transmitting confidential customer documents in a simple but secure fashion.

Many traditional secure transmission solutions are complex to implement, require extensive assistance from already over-worked I.T. support staff, and are often difficult to understand by non-specialist users. In addition, they often require that both the sender and the receiver have special software installed, further complicating the process.

MailAssured has been designed for use by non-technical end-users. If you can send an email, you can use MailAssured.

What's Wrong With Plain Email?
When you send an email, it is usually stored on a mail server before being sent on to its final destination. When it arrives, it is usually stored again until the recipient collects it. These storage points are usually not under the direct control of the sender or recipient. For example, email is stored at ISP's, free webmail providers, or other service provider's networks. In other words, there are plenty of opportunities for email communications to be intercepted between the sender and the receiver.

How It Works
The user simply uses the MailAssured client software to drag-and-drop all of the files required for transmission. The files are then sent via email to a MailAssured secure server. The recipients are notified by email that they have some documents for retrieval. They then visit a web site, enter a password (which is previously determined by the sender) and download the documents. That's all there is to it.

Requirements
To send documents via MailAssured, a simple piece of software is installed on the senders PC. Recipients require no additional software other than a web browser and Internet access.

Supported Platforms
Sender: Microsoft Windows 2000/XP with .NET runtime version 1.1 or better.
Recipient: An SSL-capable browser on most platforms (Windows, Linux, OSX).
